The following is my election thesis. Trump will win with more than 320 votes and here are my reasons why: 1. The common complaints from Trump haters is that he is unpresidential, rude, crude, insulting, and disrespectful. Yes, this is all true. This is more by design than by nature. The last four presidential candidates put forward by the Republicans, both Bushes, Romney, and McCain all ran a gentleman like contest not responding very much to the slings and arrows and invective directed towards them from the Left. Trump hasn’t stood for any of that. Basically, his point is if you want to run a campaign by Alinsky'ss Rules so to will he. Hence when he hears all of the snotty and hate-filled remarks from the likes of Maddow, O’Donnell, Lemon, Tapper, Stephanopoulos, and the rest of the media elite, Schumer, Pelosi, Warren et al as well as the dopes in Hollywood he responds in kind. Every time he mocks one of these idiots it's music to Republican ears 2 Vigor. It should be clear by now that Biden has neither the physical stamina nor the mental acuity to handle this job. He’s been hiding in his basement for the last four months avoiding any media contact and even when giving presentations he’s unable to speak without prepared remarks or a Teleprompter. Even with that help he continuously makes Biden gaffes. Trump on the other hand has been campaigning nonstop, barnstorming across the nation speaking sometimes for three or four hours extemporaneously in front of tens of thousands of people. He seems indefatigable. 3 Policy. Every single initiative in foreign policy and domestic policy that Trump enunciated when he first ran he’s attempted to follow through on. He has denounced globalism and has brought jobs back to the United States. He’s built a border wall, he’s reduced illegal immigration, he has strengthened the military. GDP before Covid was at 4%, something Obama said was impossible. Unemployment has decreased and in particular black unemployment, He renegotiated NAFTA, ended the Iranian deal, got rid of onerous regulations, isolated the Iranians and the Russians and surprisingly he’s brought forward what is the first peace deal between the Arab world and Israelis since the Egyptian deal during the Carter administration. Although not bearing any fruit yet he’s open to dialogue with the North Koreans something that had never been accomplished. His opponents love to say how much our allies hate us but the truth is our allies only love us when they are on the receiving end of our largesse. Remember how you reacted when your parents decided you were old enough to pay for room and board? That is the reaction from our allies when Trump expects them to carry their own weight. 4. Energy. For the first time since 1957 in 2019 the United States has become energy independent. This is important for two reasons, obviously the economic effect of lower energy prices on business and individuals as well as the impact on the trade deficit when we are exporting more and more energy. If you believe that wind and solar are going to account for enough energy to supply the American energy grid in your grand children's lifetime then you believe in unicorns and in fairy dust. 5. The media, social media giants, and pollsters. People are finally catching on that these people are so biased that they now are to the point of coddling Biden (what flavor ice cream is that Joe) and blatant censorship of any negative news about the Biden campaign. This of course has blown up in their face with the Russian plant scheme of the now authenticated Hunter Biden laptop. Failing to print or follow up any of the allegations has only fueled voter curiosity. This is referred to as the Streisand effect. 6. Antifa and BLM. I could write an entire essay on this subject alone but the bottom line is that Democratic-held cities were suppressing churchgoers, weddings, funerals, and graduations while not strenuously opposing rioters and looters. You know the voters are pissed off. 7. Supreme Court appointments. Who can ever forget the treatment of Kavanaugh when they rolled out Christine Blasey Ford to allege high school sexual misconduct at a time and a place that she couldn't remember? And how about the magnificent Amy Coney Barrett? Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a devout Jew yet this never was a problem when the senate voted 97 to 0 to confirm her appointment. Yet not one Democrat could cross the line to cast a vote for this woman, because perhaps "the dogma was deep within her." How well do you think that went over with the country's 66 million Catholics? 8. Enthusiasm. All over the country, massive crowds are turning out for Trump rallies and various boat and car parades. Biden is appearing before crowds the size of backyard barbecues. 9. The African American vote. Trump has made serious inroads in this constituency. Trump getting double digits in this group would be historic. In closing, I would point out two items of recent interest, Biden's oil industry comments hurt him deeply in states he needs to win. Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Arizona are heavily reliant on the oil industry for jobs. Even more telling is Joe leaving his cellar to campaign in Minnesota, a state that hasn't voted for a Republican presidential candidate since 1952. If Minnesota is indeed in play then Joe is in trouble.
